Knockando Estate currently has limited availability on day fishing on all 3 beats for early/late season. For further details please contact the Estate Office.

Knockando has three and a half miles of prime double bank fishing on the River Spey, split into three adjoining beats.

Knockando Beat is the downstream beat at Knockando and can accommodate a party of four rods. The beat comprises nine main pools and is fished from both the bank and by boat in addition to offering many wading opportunities. There is a full time ghillie, Archie Baillie, in attendance at all times.

Phones Beat is the middle beat and can accommodate parties of three rods.   It comprises eleven main pools and again is fished from both banks and by boat or wading.   Sandy Smith is now semi-retired but continues to ghillie on a reduced basis in 2017.   Euan Clive, who has been at Knockando for a number of years now, ghillies during the weeks that Sandy is not here.

Lower Pitchroy is the top beat and can accommodate parties of up to four rods.   It comprises six main pools and in common with the other beats is fished from both banks and by boat or wading.   Andrew Hall has recently joined the team at Knockando and, through his time as a ghillie elsewhere on the Spey, brings experience and enthusiasm with him as full time ghillie on the beat.

On all beats additional fully experienced ghillies can be provided at all times. Each beat has a well-equipped fishing hut and toilet facilities.
